The Cavalry Lance Corporal
A nice and sharp photograph of a Hungarian lance-corporal. The image originates from a glass-negative heritage of a studio-photographer. The image is scanned in fill size without any cropping been made. Usually the glass plates were re-used and occasionally saved for extra prints for the customer. The sides were cropped by the photographer as the paper-print was developed and the retouch were made direct on to the wet glass negative as it was developed (hence the clear middle).
