Hungarian Military History During the Great War

This section brings together photographs, documents, personal stories and research material relating to Hungarian soldiers and military units during the First World War.

The archive includes original wartime photographs, officer and soldier portraits, field correspondence, decorations, regimental material and family collections connected to service between 1914 and 1918.

Particular attention is given to Hungarian soldiers serving within the Austro-Hungarian Army, the Royal Hungarian Honvéd, frontline units, military hospitals, prisoners of war and veterans of the Great War.
