Hungary Between Trianon and Rearmament

This section documents Hungarian military history during the interwar period, from the aftermath of the Treaty of Trianon to the years immediately preceding the Second World War.

The archive includes original photographs, military portraits, officer biographies, training exercises, military schools, veterans’ organizations and documentation relating to the rebuilding of the Royal Hungarian Honvéd after 1920.

Particular attention is given to military traditions, officer education, uniform development, paramilitary organizations and the gradual expansion of Hungary's armed forces during the 1930s.
