Military Heritage of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy

This section brings together photographs, military portraits, decorations, documents and personal histories relating to the armed forces of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy before the outbreak of the First World War.

The archive contains original photographs of officers and soldiers, military academy graduates, veterans, decorations, regimental history and family collections documenting the final decades of the Dual Monarchy.

Particular attention is given to Hungarian officers and soldiers serving within the Imperial and Royal Army (K.u.K.), the Royal Hungarian Honvéd and associated military institutions throughout the monarchy.
