The Határvadász Photograph
The small 9x6 cm photograph was among many in a mixed photo LOT that arrived some days ago in my mail. I have always had a special eye to everyday images from the soldiers lives. This particular photograph of some Hungarian Határvadász (Frontier Guard) is one of those everyday snapshots, probably taken by one of the soldiers right after finishing his meal to save a moment for the future of the time with his comrades.
As most mixed photos, not much can identify the unit or the persons in the photograph.
Instead, the personal moment among comrades in the Hungarian Határvadász, the photograph has turned to a historical document shared by Us, interested in Hungarian military history.
