The Royal Hungarian Border Guards were tasked with protecting Hungary's frontiers and maintaining security along the nation's borders. Combining military and law-enforcement responsibilities, border guard units conducted patrols, surveillance and frontier defense operations during both peacetime and war.

This archive explores the officers, enlisted personnel, border posts, equipment and service history of Hungary's border guard formations through original photographs, documents and historical research.
