CAVALRY
Branch of Service
The Royal Hungarian Cavalry preserved centuries of military tradition while adapting to the realities of twentieth-century warfare. During the interwar years and the Second World War, cavalry formations continued to serve in reconnaissance, security operations and mobile combat roles alongside increasingly mechanized forces.
This archive documents cavalry officers, mounted troops, horse equipment, field service, ceremonial traditions and original wartime photography preserved from private collections and historical sources.
