As I was walking along the Andrássy Avenue (Andrássy út) in Budapest a few weeks ago, I passed the Hungarian State Railways (Magyar Államvasutak or MÁV) main office building along the boulevard.

On the old and impressive building corner, is a memorial situated over the fallen rail-road workers during the Great War.

As I walked past, I took a few photos for the blog, and took a minute to think about the reasons for the memorial and look at the dramatical sculptures.
